Marcel Bjerkmann was the dominant player on Day 2 of the WPT at the Casino di Venezia. Directly behind the young Norwegian Neumann is ranked second on the chip table.
The two big stacks will now go out of the way first, because they were drawn to two from now or three tables. Only 27 players reached the third day, with 155 players and because of the relatively low number of participants and only 18 players make the money.
One third of the remaining field must therefore resign or until the first player to $ 9,497 can be sure.

Neumann, and Scott Akenhead reached Day 3
Born in Recklinghausen Marko Neumann was already several times in front of a big triumph. In 2009 he reached the SCOOP Main Event 10th place in the 2008 WCOOP, he even sat at the final table. He eventually finished fourth, just as two weeks in Paris in the € 10,000 High Roller event at the Euro finals. Neumann holds 384 400 chips.
James Akenhead made headlines in 2009 when he reached not only the November Nine, but also made the final table of the WSOPE Main Event. At the end he was a little disappointing ninth place in both tournaments.
He begins Day 3 fourth in chips with 336 000, slightly less than Jason Wheeler at the place that holds 348 200 chips.
Rather in the basement table located, but still in the race is Kara Scott , the face of PartyPoker.
Scott has already achieved several major events during the subsequent days, and others in the WSOP Main Event and at the Irish Open, where she placed second in 2009. Now it stands at 60 100 chips, and thus to place 21
Big names, no prices
It would have been a resonant (in every sense of the word) are the final table: Tony G., Filippo Candio, Roberto Romanello, Max Pescatori, Marvin Rettenmaier and Mike Sexton would have delivered a couple of fierce verbal duels. However, it should not be. None of them reached the third round.
Candio was eliminated with a flopped set against Jason Wheeler, who hit his flush on the river.
