Canada’s Regulations for Online Casinos

Issues and talks about online casinos are never ending. Many countries worldwide made changes regarding online casinos while others are just beginning to implement some changes. The UK government has proven that online casinos can be regulated, which is why online casinos do not have any problems in the UK. Other than that, online casinos have shown to that they have the ability to improve a country’s economic standings, for they have provided jobs to numerous people in and outside UK. Other countries are already realizing it and thus starting to change their regulations regarding online casinos.

One of the countries who made changes on online casino regulations includes Canada. Even though Canada always hand numerous land based or brick and mortar casinos, there is a major chance happening. Loto Quebec has just recently announced that they will already be offering a new online casino that is available only for Canadians. The announcement has gotten numerous responses and reactions including many of Canada’s public health officials who objected the offering of online casinos. According to the objecting public health officials, online casinos should not be offered, for they are worried about the regulation needed for online casinos.

On the other hand, despite of the objections the announcement has received, Minister Raymond Bachand supports Loto Quebec’s announcement of offering online casinos to Canadians. Bachand never felt that online casino would increase problems in gambling, but instead felt that having an online casino only requires another move. Even though there are already plenty of online casinos are offered in Canada including many of the UK based online casinos that offer their services to Canada and Quebecers, Loto Quebec’s online casino will be the first all Canada online casino to be opened.

According to Bachand, the site’s purpose is not to collect funds from Canadian citizens but instead, they are just going to redirect the money of these online casino players that are spent offshore. The idea of opening an all Canadian online casino is to have a little bit of control and give the money back to the Canada rather than giving it off to a foreign company. The offering of online casino creates a hope of having revenue that will help balance Canada and offer some public programs that are currently lacking.

The online casinos will be under the regulation of the Canadian government, for they want to make sure that these casinos are offering fair outcomes. The government already has Spin Palace and Ruby Fortunes under their government, thus adding Loto Quebec will be of no big difference. The government is willing enough to make sure that they will be handling the gambling industry in a responsible way.

For Canadians, the opening of an all Canada online casino will surely be a good thing.  Even if the casino is only for Canadians, one thing for sure, this will bring in revenue to the Canadian government. With the continuous popularity of online gambling casinos, changes on regulations from different countries are expected in the year 2010.

Recently, a survey about online casinos and stay at home moms was conducted and revealed a result that many of the stay at home moms spend less time in front of their television sets and more time on the internet having fun at online casinos. Out of five moms on the survey responded that they log online for at least once daily to get their daily dose of news, socialize, shop, and play online casino games.

Twenty five percent of those who are surveyed said that they spend a minimum of two hours online playing at online casinos or gambling.       Despite of the survey result, social networking activity still has the largest pull for many of the women online. Majority of the women involved in the survey state that it would be even happier for online casino if they will be given the chance to socialize a little bit more that what they did today. In this way, they will be given the chance to play on their favorite online casino games, make some amount of money, and socialize all at the same time at the same website.

Even the renowned website Yahoo had conducted their own survey about online casinos and stay-at-home moms and found out that every three mothers who joined the survey are using the internet as their main source of valuable information. Survey shows that spending time in front of their television watching different shows is now longer important, for the internet has a lot more to offer. Mothers spending time on the internet are not only spending time on online casinos and gambling but also they spend time shopping online, watching online shows, and more. With today’s kind of lifestyle that stay-at-home moms have, watching daytime television shows become an outdated option for them.

Many of the women are no longer attached with soap opera dramas but rather, they now spend more time online getting in touch with family and friends, have fun playing games in online casinos and enjoys pending time together with their kids. According to many of the analyst, the current trend is changing in a harmless manner and said that evolution happens naturally, meaning depending on technology like the internet is really the next step for everybody.

As of the very moment, the trend seems to be harmless. It only shows that moms are simply having some little fun during daytime in order to have some break from the other things that they must get done. On the other hand, for those who find bingo to have turned into a serious gambling problem, help and advice are always available. It has been observed that women are capable enough of seeking help or staying offline until they are back on track or in control, for majority of the stay-at-home-moms are just having a good balance in their lives by having a little entertainment while the kids are on their siesta.
